Schleich Emperor Penguin

The Emperor Penguin from Schleich® WILD LIFE is truly remarkable. It's the biggest and heaviest of all penguin species, living way down south in Antarctica. Unlike other birds, Emperor Penguins don't build nests. They brood their eggs right on the ice. After the female lays an egg, she heads back to the sea to catch fish, leaving the male to take care of the egg. He gently places it on his feet and keeps it warm under his abdominal crease. And here's a fun fact: when these penguins leave the water, they leap in a high arc onto the ice.
